Sandra “Sandi” Rodriguez Edwards was born on November 3, 1950, in Colorado City, Texas, to the late Ned Andrew and Lillian Richard Rodriguez. A longtime resident of Louisiana, she passed away in Baton Rouge on May 23, 2026. After graduating from New Iberia High School, Sandi moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, where she began her career as an x-ray technician at Touro Infirmary. The couple then welcomed their daughter, Wendy Edwards. Before retiring from Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Sandi was elevated to the role of a dosimetrist. She and Danny attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Sandi was an avid reader, loving thrillers such as Stephen King, loved listening to music, and playing Yahtzee with her mom and sister. But mostly, she enjoyed being a grandmother to her grandson, Drake Morice.
