Known as "Libby" to family and friends, she died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010, at the Butterfly Wing of Hospice of Baton Rouge. She was 91. Survived by a daughter, Linnie Keller and husband Larry Reeves, Baton Rouge; sister, Ruth Wilson, Shreveport; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Louvenia and Russell Nelson; husband, John M. Keller; infant daughter, Elizabeth Diann; brothers, Linnie Nelson and Jesse Nelson; and sister, Doris Davion. She was a lifelong resident of Alexandria until moving to Baton Rouge in 2002. For many years she was active in the Order of Eastern Star and was a volunteer at Rapides General Hospital. In Baton Rouge, she was a member of Dorcas Sunday school class at Parkview Baptist and valued the friends she found there. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, June 15, from 9:30 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Tony Hand and the Rev. Merlin Liverman. Her nephew, Stephen Nelson, will sing her favorite hymns.
