Sean Michael Montgomery

Sean Michael Montgomery passed away unexpectedly January 2, 2016, at the age of 39. Born October 22, 1976, he was a native of Baton Rouge and an alumnus of Woodlawn High School and Baton Rouge Community College. From a young age, he loved going fishing at his Paw Paw's camp and playing in the cotton fields on his grandparent's farm. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a doting uncle who will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephew. He is survived by his mother, Donna Montgomery; father, J. Marvin Montgomery; step-mother, Bonnie Montgomery; brother, Eric Montgomery and his wife Nerissa; sister, Jessica Stewart; nephew, Anthony Stewart; nieces, Victoria Stewart and Abigail Montgomery; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maudrie and Ed Friley; and his paternal grandparents, Mary Theo and George Montgomery. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, January 7, 2016, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A private graveside service will be held Friday, January 8th at Green Oaks Memorial Park. Sean had a kind and generous spirit and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
