Cpl. Shane Michael Totty

Corporal Shane Totty, a native of Collinsville, Illinois, and a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away on February 1, 2019 at the age of 31. Cpl. Totty was a part of the 80th Baton Rouge Police Academy and has been a member of the Baton Rouge Police Department for over 4 years. During his time in the department, Cpl. Totty worked in second district and was recently transferred into the motors division; his life long dream. Above all; Shane was a loving, devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, singing, dancing and riding his motorcycle.

Shane is survived by his daughter Peyton, wife Catherine, and parents Tracy and Denis Soto, his aunts, Victoria Moore and Dawn Vogel, an uncle, Craig Curry, his grandmother, Barbara Totty and family members in Illinois.

Family, friends and coworkers are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815, on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 5:30pm-9pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Healing Place Church, 19202 Highland Rd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70809, from 9am until funeral service begins at 11am. Burial to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
