Born in Metairie on September 25, 1974, she died at her home in Baton Rouge on Sunday evening, April 29, 2012. She was 37, and was an employee of Edgen-Murray. She was also a veteran of the United States Navy. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Thursday, May 3, 2012, from 5pm until 9pm. Committal service will be held on Friday at St. Roch Cemetery #1, New Orleans, at 10 a.m. Shannon is survived by her husband, William Baird of Baton Rouge; her daughter, Katherine Leigh "Kayleigh" Baird; and her stepson, Carson Baird. She is also survived by her parents, Jim and Kathy Hill of Roatan, Honduras; paternal grandfather, James L. Hill, Sr.; and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John R. and Frances C. Fahey; and paternal grandmother, Fannie M. Hill.
