Shirley Marie Ricard Little

Shirley Marie Ricard Little, a beloved resident of Port Allen, LA, passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on April 3, 1939, in New Roads, LA, Shirley was known for her supportive, protective, wise, and kind-hearted nature.

Throughout her life, Shirley worked in various office administrative jobs. She had a profound love for learning and was always eager to try anything that piqued her interest. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Shirley was a member of the St. Joseph Cathedral Parish and a lifelong Catholic. Her passions included gardening, cooking, and sewing, a skill she learned from her mother. Shirley was a very supportive mother and grandmother, and nothing came between her and her children and grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her son, Jerome Keith Little (Michelle Rivet), and her daughter, Jennifer Ann Little Ardis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Clyde Jude Little, as well as her parents, Albanie St. Amant Ricard and Maceo Ricard. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Maceo Ricard Jr., Sylvia Mae Ricard Honore, Dolores Ricard Chustz, Marilyn Ricard Wells, and Anthony Ricard, along with her daughter, Donna Blanche Little Sonnier.

Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Cathedral, located at 412 North Street, Baton Rouge, LA, 70802. Visitation will take place on January 21, 2026, from 9:00 am to 9:40 am, followed by the Rosary from 9:40 am to 10:00 am. The Funeral Mass will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 12369 LA-416, Lakeland, LA, 70752. Pallbearers will be Paul Chustz, Robert Decuir, Shane Sonnier, Joseph Sonnier Jr., Greg Metoyer Jr., Jason Sajardo, Honorary Pallbearers will be, Timothy and Dillon Chustz. In lieu of flowers please send donations to West Towne Assisted Living in Port Allen, Bridgeway Healthcare and Hospice, or St. Joseph Church.
