Shirley Clark Singer

Denham Springs, LA - Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Shirley Clark Singer was peacefully called home to the Lord on September 18, 2026, at the age of 91. She was a native of Brazil, Indiana, and a longtime resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana. Shirley was the heart of her family, bringing joy through her wisdom and infectious laughter. As an ordained minister, she devoted her life to serving the Lord, and her faith and powerful prayers were a constant source of strength for those she loved. Though she will be deeply missed by her friends and three generations of family, we find comfort in knowing that Shirley is now at peace with her Heavenly Father, made new in His glory and transformed into eternal life. Like the butterflies she loved, her faith, the life she lived, and her passing remind us of the beauty of transformation and the promise of new life.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Pam Dentro and Terri Poche and husband Ronnie; grandchildren, Jessica Harold and husband Cory, Kara Denstel and husband Cory, Michael Poche and wife Bridget, Chase Poche and wife Morgan; 11 great-grandchildren, Cannon, Landry, Ivy, Clark, Carter, Eppie, Jordyn, Aaron, Adrienne, Saige, and Jude; brother, Jim E. Clark, Sr. and wife Luella, son-in-law, Eli Dentro; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Clifford G. Singer, Jr.; mother, Ruth Clark Jackson; father, Lewis Lee Clark; stepfather, Wilbur Jackson; brother, James Clark; grandson, Ronnie Poche, Jr.; and nephew, Edward Singer, Jr.

Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 12:30 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM, conducted by Pastor Jeff Eastwood. Interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Poche, Cory Harold, Cannon Harold, Cory Denstel, Michael Poche, and Chase Poche. Shirley was a member of Abundant Life Church in Denham Springs where she was Director of the Ladies Ministry for seventeen years. Special thanks to Joyce Simms, her caregivers at Old Jefferson Community Care Center, and Notre Dame Hospice of Baton Rouge.
