Shirley died peacefully Saturday, July 27, 2013, where she resided at Woodland Village Nursing Center in Diamondhead, Mississippi. Shirley was born December 27, 1928 in New Orleans, LA to Marguerite August and Edward F. Ward. She was retired from AT&T. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George Skinner, and niece Erin A. Ward. She is survived by her brother, Edward F. Ward, Jr. and wife Dorothy P. Ward; niece, Rebecca Ward Losavio and husband Sam D.; and niece Robin Ward Jumonville and husband, Francis. Also survived by great niece, Lauren Losavio; great nephews: Andrew Losavio, Ben Jumonville, and Todd Jumonville; and stepson, George Skinner, Jr., of Slidell, LA. Graveside service will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 10am at St. George Catholic Church Mausoleum, 7808 St. George Drive (Siegen Lane at I-10), Baton Rouge, LA, under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St.
