

Solange Roberts, native of France and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Saturday August 10, 2013 at the age of 88. She was a survivor of World War II, not knowing if she would make it out of bomb shelters during the German occupation. It was after she became a working woman in Paris that she met the love of her life and married Arville Roberts. She was very fashion forward and enjoyed ceramics, sewing, and assembling flower arrangements. Solange was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia R. John of Crowley, LA, and Janie F. Golden and husband Martin of Baton Rouge, LA; Three grandchildren, Andrew N. John, Jessica F. Golden, and Natalie S. John; Two sisters, Gisele Bryselbout and Henriette Sauvaget both of France. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arville Roberts; and her parents Rene and Marie Moise. Visitation will be held on Saturday August 17, 2013 at Trinity Episcopal church from 11 am until Funeral Service at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
