

A loving mother, daughter and sister, she was born Jan. 23, 1962, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and passed away peacefully at the Butterfly Wing Inpatient Unit of Hospice of Baton Rouge at Ollie Steele Burden Manor on Friday, April 10, 2009, at 3:10 a.m. She was 47, a graduate of Port Allen High School and attended LSU. She worked as a nurse's aide and also as a phlebotomist. She was a talented artist who also had a passion for and was an avid rescuer of homeless animals. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Adrian and Vivian Beatty. She is survived by a son, Seth William; father and mother, Patrick and Jeanne Beatty; sister, Sonya Gail Sharp; niece, Alyssa Camille Sharp; maternal grandparents, Wallace and Naza LeBlanc; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves her beloved dog, Babbette, and cat, Peyton. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Monday, April 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. until religious service at noon, with Mickey Pounders of South Baton Rouge Church of Christ officiating.
