Staci Watts Morel

Staci Watts Morel, resident of Denham Springs, LA., passed away surrounded by family on June 2, 2026, at the age of 60. She leaves behind her loving husband of 19 years, Sigmund Morel; two children, Michael McLaurin (Lindi) and Megan Badon; grandchildren, Easton, Hudson, and Nolan McLaurin, and Elijah Badon; her twin sister, Traci Torres (Kenny); two brothers, Jeffery Watts and Steven Watts (Dayna); stepchildren, Seth Morel and Skylar Wheeler (Zane); step-grandchild, Henry Wheeler; her aunt, Gayle Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Venice and Penny Reynolds Watts; and her infant daughter, Melanie Renee McLaurin.

Staci was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness touched the lives of many. After retiring, she found great joy in caring for children in her home. Welcoming them into her life brought her immense happiness, and she cherished every child she cared for as if they were her own. Her warmth, compassion, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
