A native and resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at St. Clare Manor. He was 84, the former owner of Louisiana Electric Co. and a former member of IBEW. He was a Navy veteran. Visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2250 Main St., Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m., celebrated by the Rev. Paul McDuffie. Interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by four sons, Stanley Irvin Heine, Robert Duane Heine, Randall Lanehart Heine and wife Ann, and Rodney James Heine and wife Michelle; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Heine, all of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by three sisters, Annabelle Heine Ramirez and husband Maurice, of Ocala, Fla., and Shirley Heine Gallo and husband Sam, and Yvonne Heine Nelson, all of Baton Rouge; and nine grandchildren, Chance Heine, Richelle Heine, Stephanie Heine, Emily Heine, Caleb Heine, Anna Heine, Ava Heine, Laurin Dupre, and Leslie Dupre. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Hanks Heine; son, Richard Edward Heine; daughter, Sharon Ruth Heine; sister, Yvette Heine Stoetzner; his mother, Mary Anna Babin Heine; and father, Stanley Langhart Heine. Pallbearers will be Bennie Vernice, Tim Nelson, Mark Culotta, Mike Gallo, Hal Dupuy, and Don Stoetzner. Honorary Pallbearers are George Dick and Pete Heine. He was a 1944 graduate of Catholic High School, past president of the CHS Men's Club, and in 1982, he was inducted into the Catholic High School Hall of Fame. He also served as past president of the National Electrical Contractor's Association. His hobbies included duck-hunting, fishing and playing golf.
