

Stephen C. Nettles, 64 years old, passed away on January 13, 2016, after a short battle with cancer. He was a member of Electrical Workers Union Local 995, retired from Rhodia, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4085, and a member of the High Line Hunting Club. He loved to fish at the camp at Belle River. He also did league bowling at Plank Bowl. He graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1969. He served as Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Linda D. Nettles; daughters, Amy (Mickey) Duncan and Andrea (John) Burns; stepsons, Jonathan and Joshua (Alexis) Broussard; mother, Lois S. Nettles; sister, Pamela N. Browning; and grandchildren, Zachary, Gabryel, and Halle Grace Duncan, Caleb and Riley Williams, Britain Burns, Jaden and Bailey Broussard. He was preceded in death by his father, E.C. (Slim) Nettles. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70817, on Friday, January 15, 2016, from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jeff Summers, Jerry Normand, Terry Phillips, Greg Breaux, Scooter Davis, and Tyler Fontenot.
