Steve N. Steles passed away on April 26th, at home with his family, at the age of 91. A native of Shreveport, he was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge. He was a wonderful devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend. A veteran of WWII, he had a career in sales, real estate, and accounting. He was a lifelong LSU football fan. He is survived by his grateful children, Cathy Steles, Nick Steles and his wife Katherine, Kelley Filbeck and her husband Gary; the joys of his life, his granddaughters, Elizabeth, Emily, and Sarah Steles; brother-in-law, Wilbur Thomas, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Helen Glover Steles, his two sisters and their husbands, his sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, and grandniece. Steve was a kind, sweet, funny, charming man and we will all miss him very much. The family would like to extend special thanks to his hospice nurse, Brandi Baker. There will be a private family service at Green Oaks Funeral home.
