
A resident of Brusly and co-owner of Brunson Safe and Lock Co., he died at 4 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Hospice of Baton Rouge Inpatient Unit. He was 57, a native of Plaquemine and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Visiting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly, from 1 p.m. until memorial Mass at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, with the Rev. Monsignor Gerald Lefebvre, celebrant. Entombment in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Mausoleum, Lakeland. Steve is survived by a sister, Ellen Bolan; two brothers, James and William Bourg; niece, Keri Bolan; stepdaughter, Tina Gros and her husband, Kernie; three sisters-in-law, Gertie, Yvonne and Mary; two brothers-in-law, Eddie and Dan; aunt, Pokey; and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Minton Bourg; and parents, Marguerite and Lawrence Bourg. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly.
