

"Sue Buford Gandy peacefully passed away on July 15, 2017. She was born June 8, 1927 in Madison Parish and grew up in Tallulah, LA. She attended Belhaven College in Jackson, MS and spent most of her adult life in Natchez, MS, where she was an active member of The First Presbyterian Church and The Natchez Garden Club. She was an avid collector of antiques and a talented floral arranger, always there to assist her friends in times of happiness and sorrow. She moved to Baton Rouge in 1996 to be closer to her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera Magee Buford and Warren Duncan Buford. She is survived by her sisters, Warrene Buford Ivy of Greenville, MS and Janet Buford Givens of Senatobia, MS. as well as her four children and their spouses, Susan Gandy Olds and her husband Rusty, Warren Buford Gandy and his wife Nell, Thomas Howard Gandy, Jr and his wife Paula, William Wiley Gandy and his wife, Christy. She also has six grandchildren, Mary Margaret Singer and husband Wyn, Anna Magee Gandy, Robert Warren Gandy, Thomas Howard Gandy II, Nancy Meng Gandy, and William Walker Gandy, as well as two great grandchildren, Trip Singer and John Hart Singer. A private family memorial will take place in Sumner, MS. The family would like to sincerely thank the devoted staff at Amber Terrace Assisted Living and The Hospice of Baton Rouge for their excellent care.
