
Suellen May Lamb, a native of Iowa City, IA and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the age of 69. Suellen was a retired school teacher. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church at 10:30am on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Survived by her husband of 32 years, Donald James Lamb; daughters, Jill (Dwayne) Wilkins and Nicole Reinhardt; sons Rick (Nina) Lappin and Scott (Aimee) Lamb; grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Sydney, Franklin, Dante', Zoe, and Bella; brother, James (Linda) May; nephews, Christian and Judah; niece, Shirah (Keita) Minagawa; great nephew, Naoki. Preceded in death by her parents, Ellen Gaffney May and John May; and nephew, Colin May. Suellen graduated from Benedictine High School, received a B.A. and M.A. from Michigan State University, was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society of Outstanding Women Educators, Louisiana and Michigan Poets Society and the Upper Peninsula Publishers and Authors Association. She was a published author, member of the National Science Foundation, a grant writer, artist, reader, member of the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and along with her husband, a world traveler.
