She was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Genevieve and Joseph Svancarek and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. She was a beloved wife, a devoted mother, and a loving grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Michael Riordan; three daughters, Terri Riordan (Dennis Royer) of Spring, Texas, Erin Pontif (Michael) of Baton Rouge, LA, and Megan Wyatt (Alex) of Birmingham, AL; and four grandchildren, Riordan and Ander Wyatt of Birmingham, AL and John Michael and Jackson Pontif of Baton Rouge, LA.
She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Dvorak (Bill) of Westmont, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 9:30AM on Monday, January 6, 2025, with a funeral mass to follow at 11AM at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, 16166 S. Harrell’s Ferry Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church.
