Susan M. Womack, age 76, passed away on Sunday, April 12th, 2026, in Baton Rouge, LA. Born in St. Louis, Missouri to her beloved parents, the late Dolores E. and James C. Maxey. Susan was the loving wife to Melvin Womack and loving mother to Amanda Mitchell. She is survived by one sister; Jean Thomas.
Susan was a dedicated outpatient Registered Nurse for 35 years before she retired a couple of years ago.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, the late Lottie and Albert Mueller.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815 on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until service time. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
