Suzanne Payne"Suzy"Duplantier

Suzanne "Suzy" Payne Duplantier, age 70, died on October 18, 2015, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Suzy is survived by her three daughters, Lisa Duplantier, of Baton Rouge, Dee Duplantier (Tommy) Cagle of Monroe and Terri Duplantier of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Cole, Stephen and Henry Cagle and Charles "Charlie" Duplantier; brother, Robert Stephen (Kim) Payne, of Elberta, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents, Junius Hart Jr. and Evelyn Kamper Payne. Suzy was born on March 20, 1945, in Alexandria, Louisiana. She graduated from Bolton High School and LSU, where she was a Cheerleader, Campus Sweetheart as well as a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was married to Denis A. "Bubbie" Duplantier, who was the love of her life. They were married for 48 years. They met at LSU and have been together ever since. Suzy loved going to LSU Baseball games as well as cooking, reading, floral arranging and spending time with her grandsons. She was a very active member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Suzy was the quintessential "Southern Belle" and she will always be remembered by family and friends as "Suzy Q". Visitation will be observed Friday, October 23, 2015, at The Oaks on Highland Road from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. There will be a memorial service at noon on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3552 Morning Glory Ave, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
