She was the beloved wife of Albert C. Herbert Sr. and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was born in New Orleans on June 20, 1926. Preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother, and son-in law, Alan C Fernbaugh. Mrs. Herbert is survived by her husband, Albert Charles Herbert Sr.; three children, Linda Dale Herbert, Carolyn Herbert Fernbaugh, and Albert Charles Herbert Jr. and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Karen Fernbaugh Roy and spouse Phillip, Douglas Alan and Kristi Fernbaugh, Lanie Herbert Lucus and spouse Bryan, and Christian Kyle Herbert; and great-grandchildren, Caroline, Austin and Joseph Roy, Katy Fernbaugh, Skylar Hill and Chance Lucus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Perkins Road, or Baton Rouge Lutheran School, Florida Boulevard. Sylvia attended Redemptorist Girls School in New Orleans. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 24, from 1 p.m. until a religious service in the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Paul Anderson.
