Tammy was born on March 20, 1961, to Marie “Louise” Graham and Terry G. Crawford, Sr. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose strength, honesty, humor, and compassion touched everyone who knew her.
Tammy graduated from Belaire High School and later received her certification from ITI. She spent 37 dedicated years working as an Operator with Colonial Pipeline.
Family was one of Tammy’s greatest joys, and she held a special place in her heart for her daughter, Skylar, her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The kids always loved hanging out with Tammy because she was so much fun and always arrived with treats for the children and the pets.
Tammy’s love for animals was one of her defining passions. She rescued many animals throughout her life and especially cherished caring for hospice dogs. To Tammy, animals were family, and she had a remarkable gift for loving those who needed it most.
She also found family in her church, Tunica Hills Baptist Church, where she recently affirmed her faith, becoming an active and beloved member of the community.
Those who knew Tammy described her as free-spirited, strong-willed, honest, and completely true to herself. She spoke her mind with warmth and humor, and with Tammy, you always knew where you stood and that you were loved. She enjoyed the simple things in life: time with family, caring for her animals, her beloved Coca Colas, and Reese’s peanut butter candy.
One of Tammy’s trademark responses will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Whenever someone said, “I love you,” Tammy would simply reply, “Ditto.” One little word that somehow said everything.
Tammy was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Neames; father, Terry G. Crawford, Sr.; grandparents, Marie Hammett and John E. Graham; nephew, Cameron Crawford; sister in law, Kathy Crawford; and aunt and uncle, Billy and Beth Nichols.
She is survived by her mother, Marie “Louise” Boudreaux; daughter, Skylar DiBenedetto; son, Peter A. DiBenedetto IV; grandchildren, Sienna DiBenedetto, Peter A. DiBenedetto V, and Kane DiBenedetto; and siblings, Terry “Skip” Crawford and Joanie; Kelly and Steven Sasser and Todd and Tina Hart. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, friends, and the many animals blessed by her love.
Tammy leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will forever miss her fierce spirit, generous heart, humor, compassion, and unconditional love for people and animals.
Standing in as pallbearers will be Skip Crawford, Todd Hart, Tony Crawford, Steven Sasser, Jeff Graham and Casey Crawford.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815, on Monday, September 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A religious ceremony will follow at Greenoaks Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at Greenoaks Memorial Park following the services.
