A native of Beaumont, Texas, and a resident of Denham Springs, Tanya E. Raborn, 65, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Ochsner Medical Center. Tanya was a retired employee with Shell Oil Co., having lived in Houston for most of her life. Upon her retirement, she returned to spend time with her family in Denham Springs where she was active in her church. Tanya is survived by a nephew, Oree K. Knighten III and his wife, Amanda; a niece, Catherine Knighten Elliott and her husband, Mike; and a great-niece and great-nephew, Kendall and Aden Knighten. Tanya was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Yvonne Raborn; and sister, Brenda Raborn Knighten. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, Feb. 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Kevin Malcomb. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
