Teddie Alvin Price, Jr.

Teddie Alvin Price, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the age of 86. He was born in Winnsboro, LA, and longtime resident of Central, LA. Teddie A. Price, Jr. was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a graduate of Istrouma High School, Class of 1957. He served two years in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served the Louisiana State Police until retirement. After retirement, he continued service in different areas of Department of Public Safety. Teddie was so proud and honored to be back in uniform after Katrina. He loved fishing, hunting, and planting a garden when he could. He was known for his storytelling, humor and caring nature, and was proud of the family he and Janet started and watched grow. Above all, he was loved and respected for the man he was. Teddie is survived by his wife of 66 years, Janet; children, Sharon Manchester (Jeff), Donna Cason (Kirt), Brenda Lucarino, and Carol Whitehead; grandchildren, Blaine Manchester (Amber), McKensie Manchester, Lacie Edwards (Tyler), Christopher Cummings, Bryanna Wilkinson (Gage), Madden Cummings, Jessica Whitehead, Lauren Whitehead, and Amanda Hebert (Justin); great-grandchildren Dillon, Russo, Landry, Lainey, Annabelle, Kash, Navy, Rya, Brynn, Lillie, Reece, and Avery; brother, Wayne Price (Phyllis); and other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Cummings; parents, Teddie Sr. and Lilla Price; and son-in-law, Arthur Lucarino. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 8:30am until the time of funeral services at 10am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
