
"A native and resident of Baton Rouge, Terry passed away at home on Sunday, March 19, 2017. He was 78, a pipefitter with Local 198 and retired from The Shaw Group. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East Chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 5 pm until 9 pm. Visitation resumes at 9 am on Friday, March 24, until religious services at 11 am. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn M. Crawford; three sons, Terry G. "Skipper" Crawford, Jr. and wife Kathy, Douglas Dean Crawford and Anthony Leal Crawford; daughter, Tammy Lynn Neames; honorary son, Todd Hart; two brothers, Douglas M. Crawford and Wayne D. Crawford; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Harry D. Crawford; mother, Helen Watson Ramke; sister, Crystal M. Barrow; grandson, Cameron Crawford; grandmother, Sallie Mae Watson; and son-in-law, Chris Neames. Terry loved hunting, fishing, LSU Football and watching sports of all kind on TV. He enjoyed swimming under the logs in the Amite River with all the kids tubing and camping out on the River. Terry was a kid's soccer coach and girls softball coach. To all my kids that grew up in Monticello, I loved you all. Remember all the good and happy times. The family thank Dr. John Passman and nurse Ann at Ochsner Hospital for all their love and understanding. Terry was a good and loving father and friend who never knew a stranger and would help anyone. We love you. May you Rest in Peace. As per his wishes, Terry will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
