
At age 83, Thelma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 7, 2008. A resident of Central and a native of Baton Rouge, she was a member of Zoar Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Leo Glynn Summers; daughter, Beverly Summers; daughter-in-law, Peggy Summers; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jerry Thompson; grandchildren, Debbie and Trey Crawford, T.J. and Kim Robinson, Crystal Robinson and Waylon and Michael Summers; and great-grandchildren, Summer and Samantha Crawford, Devon and Blake Robinson and Kayce Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phelo and Pinkie Browning LeSage; sons, Richard Glynn Summers, Donald Rodney Summers and Leo Merle Summers; and a brother, Clifton LeSage. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, June 8, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home chapel on Monday, June 9, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Dr. Kevin Hand. Interment will be in Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be T.J. Robinson, Waylon Summers, Trey Crawford, Tommy Robinson, Yancy Lange and Floyd Henry. The family would like to extend special thanks to Sybil Henry, Joyce and Floyd Henry and all the staff at Stat Home Health, St. Joseph Hospice and Dr. Michael Romaguera and his staff for their care and compassion.
