
A retired electrician with Allied Chemical, he passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, just one week before his 84th birthday. A native and resident of Baton Rouge, he was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. Visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Monday, Jan. 7, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., concelebrated by the Rev. Donald Blanchard, the Rev. Arun John and Deacon Robert Kusch. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Lorraine Robillard Guillot, of Baton Rouge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan G. and Gary Koederitz and Elizabeth G. and Joseph Doyle, all of Baton Rouge; four sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Thomas S. and Lynn Norton Guillot, of Baton Rouge, David M. and Jackie Fonner Guillot, of Herndon, Va., Paul A. and Tina Glotz Guillot, of Prairieville, and Jeffrey L. and Julie Bankston Guillot, of Baton Rouge; a sister, Mary G. Broussard, of Baton Rouge; and 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander A. and Gertrude Major Guillot; and two brothers, Alex and Mark Guillot. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Guillot III, Christopher Guillot, John Thomas Guillot, Casey Guillot, Will Koederitz, Gary Shuford, Gary Koederitz, Milton Broussard Jr., Grant Mitchell and George Neal. He was a graduate of Istrouma High School and attended LSU. He was a member of St. Aloysius Church, having served as an usher, and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 3743 and American Legion Post 38. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be considered to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
