Thomas "Chris" Matherne II

On Sunday, February 21, 2021, Thomas Chris Matherne II, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 53. Chris was born on October 2, 1967 in Baton Rouge, LA. Chris graduated from Lee High School in 1985 and worked for LOTD for over 15 years. Chris enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed his time hunting, fishing, camping, and riding his motorcycle. He was known for his sense of humor and his kind and compassionate spirit. His greatest joy was his three children. Chris is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Chris Matherne, Sr.; his mother, Dorothy Truett Jackson; an infant child, Stevie Lee Matherne; fraternal grandparents, Theodore “TB” and Billie Matherne; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Claudine Truett. He is survived by his loving wife, Amiee; three children, TC, Matthew and Madeline; his sister, Kim Geautreaux; his stepfather, Jim Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church at 11:00 am. A face mask is required when inside the church.
