Thomas K. Terrell

Thomas Kenneth "Shot" Terrell died peacefully at the age of 74 on May 24, 2012 at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home. Shot was born in Prentiss, MS on November 15, 1937 and was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. Shot is survived by one brother, Charles Donald Terrell of Baton Rouge; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Shot was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Lucy Terrell; a brother, Patrick Berry Terrell; and a sister, Jackie Terrell Lockwood. Shot was an avid LSU fan who loved to attend both LSU football and baseball games. When he could not attend the games he listened to them on the radio or watched on the T.V. He also loved to travel. He retired from the State of Louisiana where he worked for over 30 years. The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at the Nursing Home and Ursula with hospice. Visiting will be held at Saint Joseph Cathedral on Wednesday, May 30, from 2 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. celebrated by the Rev. Paul Counce. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Arrangements made by Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street.
