Tommie Lee Landry, 79, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on May 1, 2026. Born on February 11, 1947, in Rosedale, Louisiana, Tommie will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew her.
Tommie Lee found steady joy in the simple, meaningful work of creating with her hands. She loved to crochet for friends and family, offering each piece as a quiet expression of care. Just as faithfully, she was always willing to teach the craft to anyone eager to learn, sharing her time and knowledge with patience and generosity.
She is survived by her two daughters, Crystal Ott Cooper and Joy Ott Reynolds; her son, Joel Ott; her sister, Mary Reine; and her brother, Wayne Landry. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
Tommie Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edward Landry and Lela May King; her sisters, Sadie Mae Elridge and Ruth Jarreau; her brothers, Roy and Alton Landry; and her grandson, Dylan Ott.
Tommie Lee struggled throughout her life with her own mental health at a time when resources were not readily available. Because of this, she became a strong advocate, encouraging anyone in need to seek help and support.
The family requests that donations be made in Tommie Lee’s name to The Bridge Center for Hope (https://brbridge.org/donate/) and The Women’s Community Rehabilitation Center (https://www.wcrcbr.org/donations).
