Travis Wayne Bates, age 37, of Prairieville, LA, died on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born on October 12, 1983, the son of Michael and Lisa Bates. The most important thing to him in the world was his three children and his family. His three children gave him so much joy, they were his life. Travis spent his spare time outside on dirt bikes or four-wheelers. His heart was Gold, his smile was contagious and he always found a way to make someone laugh. He graduated from Denham Springs High School in 2001 and completed training at MMI. Travis took pride in his work as an Equipment Foreman at Baker Gulf Coast Industrial. Travis is survived by his son, Cade Bates; daughters, Emma and Charley Bates; parents, Michael and Lisa Bates; sister, Sarah Bates Camp and husband, Ryan; niece, Maggie Camp; nephews, Brayden and Kolston Camp; and grandparents, Juanita Bates and Hilton and Joyce Davis. He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Adam Bates; and grandfather, Allen W. Bates, Jr. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, February 22, 2021, from 10:30AM until the time of funeral services at 2:00PM.
