Vergie was a retired bookkeeper with Rabenhorst Funeral Home with 40 years of service. She died at 3:10 am Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in Baton Rouge. She was 96. Vergie was a native of Purvis, Mississippi, and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume Thursday at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church from 9:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, conducted by the Rev. Jack Nutter. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by her stepdaughter: Carole Miranda Gauthier&husband Bobby; numerous nieces&nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Peter Joseph Miranda; her parents, sister and a brother. She was a member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church.
