Vergil Hugh Spragis, age 60, of Grosse Tete, Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 5, 2024. He was born on June 29, 1963, to Floyd and Joyce Spragis of Maringouin, Louisiana. Vergil was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and a grandson,Travis McCoy. Vergil is survived by his loving wife, Susan Langlois Spragis; sons, Theodore (Belinda) Sanchez and Rudy (Linda) Sanchez, Jr; godchild, Linda Langlois; 5 nieces and 1 nephew; sister-in-law, Brenda Langlois Motes; brother-in-law, Dale E. Langlois and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and good friends. Vergil was a gun enthusiast, to say the least. He enjoyed hosting a crawfish boil or BBQ, boating on the water, listening to music with family and friends, and simply sitting around the house with his wife having a few drinks. He will be greatly missed. Gone but never forgotten.
