Vicky made her transition to a life of eternal peace on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011. Vicky was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. It was a joy to be welcomed into her home, and she made sure that everyone was treated special. Her children, grandchildren and husband were the joys of her life. She will forever live in the hearts of those she cherished. Vicky was born March 14, 1957, in Gonzales. She was one of five children born to the late Stanley Gobble and Ruby Lee Williams-Gobble. Vicky is survived by her husband, Henry Hampton Sr., of Baton Rouge; her sons, Aaron and wife Lemica Hampton, of Columbus, Ga., and Henry Hampton Jr., of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Jeniyah and Jadyn Hampton; three sisters, Sheila and husband Mike Mankopf, Beth and husband Jimmy Moulder and Diane Traylor; a brother, Jim and wife Kathy Gobble; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home Tuesday, Jan. 3, from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by Rocky Bezet. Interment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Moulder, Michael Mankopf, Darrin Harris, Brandon Wainwright, Mark Lineske and Damond Pope.
