Victor B. Gordon Jr.

Victor Bruce Gordon Jr., a native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the age of 56. Victor was former crane operator, and the owner and manager of a stump removal company. He enjoyed gardening and fishing, and loved to work on small engines. Victor loved his dogs and was a simple, down to earth man. He was a loving husband, son, father and grandfather who will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Peggy J. Gordon; mother, Joyce Gordon; son, James C. Gordon and wife Kristin; daughter, Darla Dameron; and grandchildren, Dustin P. Gordon, Noah B. Gordon, Lilah G. Gordon, and Thomas P. Dameron. He is preceded in death by his father, Victor B. Gordon Sr.; grandmother, Bernie Wells; grandfather, Andrew C. Guitreau; grandmother, Addie W. Gordon; grandfather, James M. Gordon; and friends, Doug Langlois and Donnie Martin. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 1pm until 9pm and resume on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Pine Grove Baptist Church from 9am until funeral service at 11am. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
