A native and resident of Baton Rouge died on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Carpenter House. He had worked for thirty years in the motion picture industry and retired from city-parish government after thirty years of service. V.J. was 86. Visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am celebrated by the Rev. Miles Walsh. Entombment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rose Gerage Caruso; son, Vincent Joseph Caruso, Jr. and wife Angel; two grandchildren, Gionni and Isabella Caruso; niece, Maurie Alford; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins who were all very special to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank J. and Josephine Miceli Caruso; and a sister, Gloria C. Scott. V.J. was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
