Vincent J. (Sonny) Monistere, born August 29, 1953, met the Father on January 21, 2021. He was born in Independence, LA and a resident of BR. He was a Christian man of faith and loved to read the Bible. And a lifelong musician. Vincent graduated from Glen Oaks HS (71), attended LSU and was in the marching band. He graduated NLU and taught music and other subjects in BR High Schools. He loved all music-gospel, rock, ballads and played trumpet, drums, guitar, mandolin, organ and sang too. Had a vast instrument and CD collection. He enjoyed listening to his many musician friends in BR and usually they let him sit-in with them. That made his day along with enjoying pizza, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Mex, fried chicken, Indian & Pho food. He worshiped and played music with many area churches and is playing now in heaven for sure. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent L & Mary N. Monistere. My favorite song that Vince used to perform with us was β€œ Summer Breeze β€œ. Vince played the Baby Piano part, note for note on Mandolin.

A life well lived. - Peter Duffield / 3 Blind Mice
