Viola Mae "Vi" Hopkins, a native of Oak Grove and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Thursday May 24, 2012 at the age of 87. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Monday May 28, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 8 pm. and again on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 9 a.m. until funeral services in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. officiated by Rev. S. Randall Toms. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Mrs. Hopkins is survived by her husband Frank Hopkins, Sr., two sons, Frank Hopkins, Jr. and George Hopkins, and four grandchildren, Charlotte Gibson Hopkins, Myles Edwin Hopkins, Kathleen Nichole Hopkins and Thomas Matthew Hopkins. Pallbearers will be Frank Hopkins, Jr., George Hopkins, Jack Hopkins, Myles Hopkins, Thomas Hopkins and Miles Hopkins. Vi was a member of D.A.R and Colonial Danes.
