

A beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend to all who knew and loved her, she died at 11:10 pm May 19th, 2014 at Flannery Oaks Guest House. She was 95. Born July 25th, 1918, she was a native of Sunset, and a graduate of Sunset High School. She retired in 1988 from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, where she was a teacher’s aide with God’s special children. After retiring from the school system, she volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen for several years, once being honored as Volunteer of The Year. She was also a past member of T.O.P.S. She is survived by five sons, Paul G. Aubin, Jr. and wife Dana of Madison, Mississipii, Thomas Wayne Aubin and wife Pat of Walker, Al M. Aubin of Baton Rouge, Joseph Barry Aubin and wife Irene of Denham Springs, and James Edd Aubin and wife Diane, of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by three daughters: Dorothy Faye Lemoine of Baton Rouge, Donna Ann Reech and husband Greg of Lafayette, and Glenda Elizabeth Aubin of Baton Rouge. Survivors also include a brother, Eric Lavergne of Sunset. She leaves her enduring love to her ten grandchildren, DeMarie Roberts, Paul G. Aubin III, Brent Lemoine, Tommy, Jason and Renee Aubin, Jennifer, Sydney, and Allyson Reech, and Melissa Quebedeaux and four great grandchildren: Gracin and Beau Aubin of Florida, and Ethan and Logan Quebedeaux. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., commencing at 9:00am Thursday, May 22nd followed by a Rosary at 11:30 and then a short ceremony in the chapel with services conducted by Deacon Brent. Burial in Greenoaks Cemetery will follow the memorial service. The family would like to offer special thanks to Polly Hilburn, Robert and Ann Smith, Mrs. Rita Blouin and family, and Life Source Hospice Services. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years Paul G. Aubin, Sr., her parents Clement and Mercedes Boudreaux Lavergne, three brothers: Raymond, Anthony, and Ed Lavergne, a sister, Florence Faye Lavergne, and a grandson Ryan Anthony Lemoine. She was a unique, loving, generous, and beautiful soul, who will be deeply missed by all fortunate enough to know and love her.
