
A native and resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 85. Preceded in death by her husband, Michael S. DiVincenti Sr.; companion, Angelo D. DiVincenti; and parents, Sam and Dorothy Carona Manisco. Survived by her son, Michael and wife Aglonie; grandchildren, Michael III and Marlana DiVincenti; and sisters, Marie Guarino and Lucy DiVincenti. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She graduated from Baton Rouge High in 1941 and attended Spencer Business School and Beauty School in New Orleans. She operated a beauty shop for about 40 years in Baton Rouge making an endless number of friends. After her "beauty shop" days, she assisted her husband and son in their business, Imperial Food Supply Inc. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters, American Italian Association, Progressive Men's Club Ladies Auxiliary and Homemaker's Club. Pallbearers will be her great-nephews, Quentin D. Cappo, Sam W. DiVincenti Jr., Joseph S. DiVincenti III, M. David DiVincenti Jr., Robert Draughon, Colby Draughon, Skyler Prejean and Billy J. Smith III. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Sept. 18, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Gerald Burns, celebrant. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum.
