

Virginia Gayle Cutrer LeBlanc, age 80, passed away at home on February 2, 2025. She was born Feb. 28, 1944, in Shreveport, LA, but was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She is survived by her husband, Charles Maxwell; sister, Vicki Cutrer Robertson; brother, James P.(Sonny) Cutrer and wife Vicky Cutrer; niece, Christy Cutrer; nephews, Jim Bob (wife Julie) Cutrer and Scott Neal (wife Theresa Kennedy Neal), Andy Davis, Paul Davis (wife Terri); great nieces, Darcey Cutrer Courville, Tori Cutrer; great nephews, Joshua Neal (wife Devin K. Neal); great great nephews, Hunter Courville, Kameron Orgeron, and Dax Neal; great great niece, Hailey Courville; aunt, Theresa Cutrer; and special cousins, Tootie Hazel Hart and Norma Bond Harrington.
She is preceded in death by first husband, Lynn E. Leblanc; parents, James P. Cutrer Sr. and Letty McDougald Cutrer; maternal grandparents, D.A. McDougald and Hattie Bossier McDougald; fraternal grandparents, Sam D. Cutrer and Beatrice Wilson Cutrer; cousin, Sammie Cutrer; great great nephew, Jonathan Neal; aunts and uncles, Hazel and Ben Hamilton, Inez Von Aspern, Idell Forbes, and Roger and Grace McDougald; and sisters-in-law, Nell Boswell, Peggy Davis and Shirley Franklin.
Gayle graduated from Baton Rouge High and attended both USL and LSU. She worked for the LA DOTD and retired with 30 years of service. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East on 02/26/25 from 4 pm to 8 pm and 02/27/25 from 9 am to 11 am with a 1:30 pm burial to follow at the Wilson Family Cemetery if Gillsburg, MS. Gayle requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Jefferson Baptist Church Young at Heart Program.
