

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Vivian Moss Holley, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014, just 3 months and 5 days after her beloved husband of 66 years was called home. She was 89 and had been a resident at Golden Age Nursing Home since April 2013. She was born on November 11, 1924 in Clovis, NM and was raised in Lilbourn, MO, and had been a resident of Baton Rouge, LA since 1948. She was a member of Stevendale Baptist Church since 1958. She enjoyed bowling, bridge, and relished spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Robert S. Holley, Jr. and wife Sissy of Zachary, LA; her daughter, Beverly Holley Holloway and husband Wayne of Lenoir City, TN; stepson William Russell Bourke and wife Susan of Slidell, LA; three grandchildren, Kim Holley Loving, Bryan J.Holley and wife Cyd, and Jason D. Holley; two great grandchildren, Gabrielle Smith, and Jackson Holley; one sister, Julia Moss Froman of Lilbourn, MO, and two brothers, Chester L. Moss and wife Jan of San Antonio, TX, and Darryl Moss and wife Gloria of Prairieville, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Holley, Sr.; parents, Henry & Wava Mahon Moss; two sisters, Juanita Moss Deal, Martha Moss Cooper; three brothers, Henry Scott Moss, Bobby Lee Moss, and Larry A. Moss; and two grandchildren, Robert S. Holley, III, and Gregory Todd Holley. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815, on Thursday, February 13, 2014, from 11am until funeral service at 2pm, officiated by the Rev. Stephen M. Young of Stevendale Baptist Church. Interment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bryan J. Holley, Jason D. Holley, Darryl Moss, Lindy Moss, Roger Moss, and Russell Bourke.
