"The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore." Psalm 121:8. On Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, this world lost the best husband, father, brother and friend that a person could ever hope for. His great sense of humor, spirit of generosity and kindness blessed everyone who knew him. Warren leaves his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Yvonne Raines Bozeman; four sons, Warren "Butch" Jr. and wife Jane, Jimmy and wife Sonya, David and wife Jodie, and Terry and wife Lesa Bozeman, of Baton Rouge; a daughter, Aimee Bozeman Brown and husband Steve, of Ocean Springs, Miss.; grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, Rebecca, Jameson, Kellen, Alex, Brennan and Conner Bozeman, Elizabeth Braud, Jordan Langheinz, and Jennifer. Jacob and Matthew Brown; and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Betty Behrnes, of Baton Rouge; brothers, Robert Bozeman, of Baton Rouge, Ralph Bozeman, of Little Rock, Ark., and Tommy Bozeman, of Austin, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was born Sept. 16, 1935, in Baton Rouge, where he lived most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vera and Oscar "O.K." Bozeman Sr.; brother, Oscar Jr.; sister, Jeanette Kilburn; and granddaughter, Jamie Lauren Brown. Warren graduated from Baton Rouge High School and attended LSU. He married Yvonne in 1954. Together they raised five children, which brought him great joy. Warren was a member of Zoar Baptist Church. He retired in 1992 from Exxon Co. USA, where he proudly worked for 28 years. Warren had a great love for building, whether homes for his family or helping out others, which he loved teaching his sons and grandsons. His passion and calling were fulfilled in his retirement years while serving with Volunteer Christian Builders, building churches with many precious Christians all over the country. Anyone who witnessed his work would attest to the gift that he gladly shared with others. An avid LSU football and baseball fan, the only thing Warren enjoyed more than watching the Tigers play was watching his own grandchildren play ball. Warren's joy for life and positive attitude will be greatly missed. The family would like to give a special thanks to St. Joseph's Hospice and all of the friends, family and church family who prayed for, laughed with, thought of, cared for and visited Warren and his family during his illness. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Friday, Oct. 28, with viewing from noon until services at 2 p.m. Graveside service to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Memorials in Warren's name may be made to Volunteer Christian Builders, 4619 Bellefontaine Court, Arlington, TX 76017 or St. Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. >
