Warren "Sid" "Pappaw" Henderson Sr. joined his beautiful wife of 59 years, Pauline R. Henderson, on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at age 86. He is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Warren Jr. and Carol Henderson, Don and Donna Henderson, and Kevin Sr. and Annette Henderson; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Erik and Christina Cotton, Heather and Peter Antosiak, Nicole, Lisa, Kevin Jr., and Matthew Henderson, Kristin Henderson, Michael, and Emily Henderson; 11 great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Slade, Katherine, Patrick, Addie, Avery, Jack, Abel, Tyler, Kamille, and Kaelen; a great-great-grandchild, Aiden; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Grace Henderson; and two brothers, Emmett Jr. and Elliot Henderson. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 13, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will resume on Thursday from 10 a.m. until religious services at noon, conducted by Pastor Roger Lathan. Pallbearers will be Erik Cotton, Peter Antosiak, Kevin Henderson Jr.; Matthew Henderson, Michael Henderson and Doug Lovett III. A veteran of the Air Force, Sid was a lifelong member of Jefferson United Methodist Church, a Mason of the Masonic Lodge, and an avid LSU sports fan. He retired from Exxon in 1983 after 41 years service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge, or Jefferson United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge.
