Johnson, Wendell R.A retired industrial project manager and native and resident of Baton Rouge, Wendell passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Sterling Place. He was 67. Visitation will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2015 Stuart Ave, on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 11 am until Memorial Mass at noon celebrated by Rev. Randy Cuevas. Wendell is survived by his five children, Chad Ardoin, Kellie Heil Stein, Robin Ardoin Bundick and husband Gabe, Scott M. Heil and wife Shandy, and Kelly Ardoin Goldstein and husband Bryan; two sisters, Phyllis J. Lefeaux and Janie J. Starks and husband Tom; special friend, Janice Hurst; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Durward Ray and Sadie Lorio Johnson. Wendell was a Roman Catholic, a 1966 graduate of Glen Oaks High School and earned his BA from Northwestern State University. He loved dancing, fishing, outdoor cooking, reading and listening to Elvis.
