William Lamar Alexander, 84, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011. A retired Realtor and mortgage banker in Baton Rouge, he was born Feb. 16, 1927, in Simsboro to Allen Levi Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Morris Alexander. Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Nell Alexander; daughter and son-in-law, Debra Jane and Charles Kimbrell; granddaughter, Noel Perricone and husband Brandon; great-granddaughter, Katelyn Nicole Perricone; stepdaughters and their spouses, Linda and Douglas Patterson, Deborah and Don Gray, and Elizabeth and Spencer Smith; stepson, Charles Boyett; stepgrandchildren, Johnathan Williams, Matthew Patterson, Kristy Bush, Rheanna Boyett and Lauren Gray; and four wonderful stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Daisey Fairbairn, Mildred Moorehead and Mary Allen Miller; and three brothers, R.B., Melvin and Malvin Alexander. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, May 26, from 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. J.T. Fare. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Charles Boyett, Douglas Patterson, Matthew Patterson, Spencer Smith, Johnathan Williams and David Bush. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
