On Monday October, 14, 2013, Bill a soldier of the old school peacefully left this world to join the master, his Lord. Bill was a simple, uncomplicated man. He left behind a piece of himself, his heart, his love and the pride and strength with which no one knew better than he, whether small or large things. He worked to the end for his family and serving his Lord.
A native of Houston, Texas and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Bill served our country for 30 years in the military, taught ROTC at LSU and later a police officer for LSU where he retired.
He is survived by daughter, Sandra Aultman and husband Wade; sons, Larry Foles and wife Melissa; Max Foles and wife Tami and Robert Penn; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Jerry and wife Sharron Cox; sisters, Betty Connett, Etta Orrell and husband Grady, Estiline and husband Verlon Magulin and numerous nephews and nieces.
Preceded in death, the love of his life, wife Norma; parents, Everett and Olife Mae; four brothers and six sisters.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm. Visitation will resume at 12:00 pm, Thursday, October 17, 2013 until the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum.
