Jon crossed over to his glorified body on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Ochsner’s Hospital in Baton Rouge. He was born on June 24, 1957 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Many of his growing up years involved his family’s moving between California and Florida to work in the space industry. After high school graduation, he married Patricia Perrone, and they were married for 42 years. For almost 11 years, Jon served as a Chaplain’s Assistant in the Army, and ultimately he received a medical discharge. His most recent job of nearly 19 years at Baton Rouge College was as IT Tech Support Manager, where he was an integral part of the professional team. When those who knew him heard the name Jon Henriott, the words integrity and dependability immediately came to mind. Jon was a faithful member of Bethany World Prayer Center for over 30 years and served in many different capacities. His love for God was evident in his life. Jon’s many interests and hobbies were varied – including loving movies, becoming certified as an EMS first responder, serving as a dive master assistant, volunteering, working on home renovations, and cooking for others at the spur of the moment. But, his greatest interest was being a friend when he was needed most. The loves of his life were his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He particularly doted on his children and grandchildren and proved that he would do anything for them. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph and Jenny Ella Henriott, and a sister, Linda Hernandez. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Henriott; son and daughter-in-law, William Daniel and Elizabeth Henriott; daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Caleb Samuel; grandchildren Eli, Sebastian, Theodore, and Hans; as well as his siblings, Donna and Jerry DeGroff; Beverly and Greg Budde; and Vivian Duke. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of very close friends, who loved him very much. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Bethany World Prayer Center North, 13855 Plank Road in Baker, Louisiana, with a memorial service at 11 a.m.
