William Dalton Hudson, Sr.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather, William Dalton Hudson, Sr., age 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Walker, La, on Saturday, June 20, 2015. He and his wife lived in Marietta, Ga for over 50 years before moving to Louisiana in 2005. He served and defended his country in the US Marines, US Air Force, and Air National Guard. He began his military career at age 16 when he joined the Marines, in December 1941. He retired from the Georgia Air National Guard in 1980 with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Vilma Bankey Hudson; Son, William D. “Skip” Hudson, Jr. and wife, Sharon; Granddaughter, Kristen Hudson-Lozoff and husband, Justin; and Great Granddaughter, Georgia Hudson Lozoff. He is preceded in death by parents, Dalton Byers Hudson and Lelia Marie Hudson; and brother, Robert W. Hudson.

Pallbearers are Peter Kraemer, Justin Lozoff, Bruce and Matt Smith.

A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, La. 70815, on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10am until funeral service at 12pm.
