A resident of Baton Rouge, Bill was born Sept. 30, 1928 and died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Colonial Care Retirement Center. He was 83 and a native of Jacksonville, AL. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East Chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 4:30 pm until service at 6:00pm, conducted by the Rev. Merlin Liverman. Bill is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Arnold Kairdolf, and Eva Kay and Paul Hebert; son and daughter-in-law, David Wayne and Karen Johnston; sister Jean Cambron and brother Dewey Johnston; four grandchildren, Rachel Schoppert and husband Clint, Christy Long and husband Liam, William Sweet and Darren Johnston; four great-grandchildren, Travis, Luke and Micah Schoppert and Golden Long; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Earline Louise Johnston, parents Zebbie&Emily Johnston, brothers Knox Johnston, Curt Johnston, sisters Louise Green, Shirley Mize, Opal Taylor, Sadie Taylor and Hannah McGee.
